South Africa has the third-strongest military in Africa, with a defence budget of over $3 billion. The country has over 78,000 active troops and an additional 17,000 reserve troops.
4. NIGERIA
Nigeria has the fourth-strongest military in Africa, with a defence budget of over $4 billion. The country has over 120,000 active troops and an additional 80,000 reserve troops. Nigeria has access to modern military equipment, including fighter jets, tanks, and artillery.
