Former US President Donald Trump Shot But Escapes Assassination Attempt
Manchester United have announced plans to leave Old Trafford and move to a brand-new stadium with 100,000 seats. This will make it the biggest football stadium in the UK.
The new stadium will be built on land owned by the club, right next to Old Trafford. Famous architect Lord Norman Foster said it will take about five years to complete.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe, one of United’s owners, said the goal is to create a “world-class football stadium.” He explained that by building so close to Old Trafford, the club can keep its history alive while giving fans a better experience in a modern stadium.
Manchester United have played at Old Trafford for 115 years. The stadium currently holds nearly 74,000 fans. However, the team will continue using it until the new stadium is ready.
A briefing document called the new stadium ‘New Trafford.’ It will have a special roof that can collect solar energy and rainwater. It will also have three large masts, making it visible from 40 kilometres away.
This project marks a big change for Manchester United and its supporters, promising a future with a bigger and better home for the club.
