Liverpool Lose Against Man United In a Four-goal Thriller

Manchester United have dealt a great blow on Liverpool’s title race after holding them to a draw in a four-goal Thriller at Old Trafford.

Liverpool started the game on a very intense note, dominating most of the play, and after series of attempts they were able to break the deadlock in the 23th minute after Luis Diaz was able to slot the ball into the United’s goal from a corner kick.

The first half ended with Liverpool in the lead 1:0. But in the 50th minute, Manchester United equalised as United’s captain Bruno Fernandes capitalised on a Liverpool’s defender mistake, firing the ball into the net from halfway the pitch.

But they lost the lead in the dying minutes of the game as Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah found the back of the net from the penalty spot, after Aaron Wan bissaka’s foul

The match ended 2:2, meaning Liverpool has lost their lead on top of the Premier league table to Arsenal who sits presently atop the league with 71 points as much as Liverpool, but with a higher goal difference.
Manchester city sits third with 70 points, 1 point away from the leaders.

With 7 games to go, the three-way Premier league title race is therefore becoming a title race for the ages.
