BREAKING: Tinubu Honours Super Eagles with MON Awards

President Bola Tinubu has conferred the prestigious national honour of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) on all members of the Super Eagles in recognition of their performance at the recently concluded CAF 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

President Tinubu, who received the national football team, expressed immense pride in their accomplishments and acknowledged the role they played in fostering unity within the country through their outstanding performance on the continental stage.

Despite finishing as runners-up in the AFCON 2023 tournament, President Tinubu encouraged the team to hold their heads high and maintain their unwavering team spirit.

In a further display of appreciation and recognition for their achievements, the federal government, represented by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), granted each member of the Super Eagles a plot of land, along with a flat.

Troost Ekong, the team’s assistant captain and the recipient of the 2023 CAF AFCON Most Valuable Player award, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his unwavering support.
