Manchester United Sells 25% Ownership to Jim Ratcliffe

Manchester United has reached a major deal with Sir Jim Ratcliffe, INEOS Chairman, securing up to a 25% share of the club. This agreement involves obtaining 25% of the Glazer family’s Class B shares and extending an offer for up to 25% of all Class A shares.

The deal, valued at $33.00 per share, also includes a significant $300 million investment to improve Old Trafford for future enhancements.

INEOS will now oversee the management of Manchester United’s football operations, covering both men’s and women’s teams along with the academies. This involves taking charge of these aspects. Additionally, INEOS will hold two seats on both the Manchester United PLC and Manchester United Football Club boards.

The agreement represents a major shift in ownership and management for the club, bringing in new leadership and potential improvements for the future.
