In Focus: Germany, Belgium crash out as World cup gets stiffer

If anything at all, then this year’s edition of the FIFA World cup is already becoming a tale of twists and turns, as a matter of fact, too many tales and an abundance of twists.

On Thursday, European giants Germany and Belgium both crashed out of the competition in surprising fashion, and just when we thought we’ve seen it all, Korea defied countless odds to qualify from an almost improbable position after their win against a Ronaldo-led Portugal side.

In truth, world cup competitions are usually a head spinner and they often serve us plenty of drama and talking points, but Qatar 2022 have quickly flirted and courted the idea of shocks, leaving us in so much state of astonishment.

Anyways, it appears we’ve just started_considering that the competition has just entered its round of 16, and we can only keep our fingers crossed to see just how much drama is left in store for us in the tournament.
