Transfer window: Newcastle spending to chill with the big boys

With Inter Milan signing Gosens from Atalanta, Aston Villa snapping Calum Chambers from Arsenal and run away leaders, Manchester City ready to crown Julian Alvarez as Aguero’s heir after his smooth signing from River Plate, it’s beginning to look like one of the busiest January transfers in recent times.

However, one team ready to chill with the big boys in the coming months is Newcastle United. Fresh from being bought over by one of the richest folks, the Toons are all out to flex their financial muscles as much as they can.

If rumours flying around the place are anything to go by, the EPL should be preparing for mommoth arrivals, and most importantly brace up to having a very ‘New’ Newcastle side staring at the big wigs in the face. In the past few days, the Teeneyside have added Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood, and Florian Lejuene to an already growing squad, and with sights set on Tottenham’s Dele Alli, Sevilla’s Diego Carlos and Bruno Guimaraes as potential arrivals, it’s only a matter of time before things start falling into proper places at the St James’ Park.

In the meantime, below are a few things that might happen after the January transfer window.

Newcastle might escape relegation

The English man have endured a tough time at the Old Trafford this season. Last season, he fared so well at Westham United where he managed a decent return of Goals and assists. He however returned to Manchester United after his loan spell, and he has practically looked like a player under a spell since then. A return to the Hammers should help put his career back on track, and who knows he might just be on the plane to Qatar with the three Lions once the World Cup kicks off.

The Gunners need a real sniper

After the altercation and subsequent fall out with the Club, Aubameyang have since bitten dust, failing to make countless matchday squad. Quite frankly, the Gabonese might have seen his last days at the Emirates. And this could only mean one thing, The Gunners need a new striker to hold the gun. Hopefully we’ll see an arrival before the window slams shut.

Wingerless Tuchel might yet add another Silverware

After the severe injuries to wing back players Chillwell and Reece James, Chelsea’s balance have easily been upset with teams finding them out with eath. Tuchel’s tactic entails his wing back players floating and hugging the wings while also propelling back and forth_an art well mastered by the two young English lions.

However, things haven’t been the same since both players picked up injuries. But somehow, Tuchel have steadied his ship and dragged them to another final in the space of a year. If everything goes well for him and his ward, The Carabao cup might just be another addition to his fast improving CV at the Club. Albeit Liverpool won’t be a walk in the park.
