Hon. Tomide Akinribido named SDGs National Ambassador

The Civil Society Coalition on Sustainable Development (CSCSD) has just appointed the youngest serving Honourable Member of the Ondo State 9th Assembly, Honourable Tomide Akinribido as the Youth SDGs Ambassador in Nigeria. This took place at the just concluded 2nd International Stakeholders Conference on SDGs 2019 (INSTACON-SDGs 19) which took place at the June 12 Cultural Centre, Abeokuta. The conference infused the use of presentation, group discussions, plenary sessions, entertainment, and dance. It also fostered SDGs networking amongst networks, CSOs, youth-led organizations towards ensuring a unified approach and collaborative efforts in achieving the SDGs Goals 2030.

By this appointment, Hon Akinribido is expected to lead meaningful youth engagement in Nigeria through direct and indirect consultations with government at all levels and the legislatures in ensuring that they align their constituency projects to the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly,Rt.Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun was at the conference with the Majority Leader of the Assembly Honourable Jamiu Maito and the House Committee on Women Affairs and Diaspora Chair, Hon Favour Tomomewo to attend the Conference and celebrate with the Chairman House Committee on SDGs, Hon.Tomide Akinribido,on his appointment as the Youth SDGs Ambassador in Nigeria.
