Former US President Donald Trump Shot But Escapes Assassination Attempt
Africa’s leading payments company, Flutterwave, is making waves with strategic appointments to its board. The most notable is Dipo Fatokun, a former director at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), who steps in as the new Chairman of the Board . This move signals Flutterwave’s commitment to strengthening its regulatory compliance and governance.
Fatokun brings a wealth of experience, having overseen key initiatives at the CBN like the Cashless Nigeria project and the Bank Verification Number (BVN) system. His expertise in financial regulations will be invaluable as Flutterwave navigates the complex African fintech landscape.
The company isn’t stopping there. Tosin Faniro-Dada, a partner at a prominent European-African VC firm, joins the board as an independent non-executive director. Her experience in finance, particularly corporate banking and investment management, will further solidify Flutterwave’s financial footing.
They also recently welcomed Nigerian architect Olajumoke Adenowo to the board, a move seen as a strategic step in their international expansion plans.
