Former US President Donald Trump Shot But Escapes Assassination Attempt
Chelsea have named Frank Lampard as their caretaker manager until the end of the season following the exit of Graham Potter. Lampard, who previously served as Chelsea’s head coach for 18 months, was in attendance during their goalless draw against Liverpool on Tuesday. He will take charge of the team’s upcoming match against Wolves.
Lampard, who is Chelsea’s all-time leading scorer, was sacked as the club’s head coach in January 2021. He subsequently joined Everton, but was dismissed from that role in January 2022 after less than a year in charge.
In a statement to the club’s official website, Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali expressed their delight at having Lampard return to Stamford Bridge. They described him as a Premier League Hall of Famer and a club legend.
The co-owners did not comment on whether Lampard would remain at Chelsea beyond the current season. The search for a full-time head coach is ongoing and no decision has been made yet.
We sincerely hope he’s able to make a major difference in the club before the end of this season.
