Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United Draws With 18th-placed Ipswich Town

Match day 12 of the English Premier league saw Ipswich Town welcome Manchester United to Portman road stadium, as both sides look to kick off their post-international break campaign.

Manchester United who just appointed a new manager, Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon are enthusiastic for a win to kick-start the new era after suffering various setbacks under previous manager, Erik ten Hag.

The match started with both sides testing each other’s defence, but as early as the 3rd minute, Amad Diallo made a superb break away run down the right flank, setting up Marcus Rashford for a easy tap in, beating the Ipswich goalkeeper.

The scoreline remained the same until just before half-time, precisely in the 43rd minute, Ipswich’s Hutchinson was able to curl a nice shot deflecting the off the head of Mazraoui and beating Onana in goal to level the scoreline.

The second half was intense between both sides, but neither side was able to secure the winner. Each teams both going home with a point a piece.

Manchester United move a spot up the Premier league table to 12th, while Ipswich Town remains being in danger of being relegated.
