Former US President Donald Trump Shot But Escapes Assassination Attempt

Contrary to earlier reports, the presidency has clarified that President Bola Tinubu will not address a joint session of the National Assembly on May 29 to mark his one year in office.
In a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, it was emphasized that the Office of President Tinubu was not involved in the planning of the event.
Earlier statements suggesting that President Tinubu would address the National Assembly were described as false and unauthorized. Instead, President Tinubu will be focusing on inaugurating strategic projects across the country, in line with his commitment to delivering good governance.
The joint session of the National Assembly will feature addresses from former Senate President David Mark, former Speaker of the House of Representatives and now President Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and former military ruler General Abdulsalami Abubakar. President Tinubu will also commission the National Assembly Library and Resource Center, now to be known as Bola Ahmed Tinubu Building.
This clarification sets the record straight regarding President Tinubu’s activities on May 29 and underscores the administration’s focus on developmental projects for the benefit of all Nigerians.
