Movie Review: IGE The Unlikely Oil Merchant

Ige has premiered on Prime Video and kimoooon! That’s a good movie.

The storyline aligned seamlessly and evoked a lot of emotions. Ige tells the story of a young man with a big dream; he would, however, work very hard and face a lot of challenges to achieve this big goal. Ige explores the themes of love, betrayal, and hard work. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that it is a real-life story.

Produced by Toyin Abraham and directed by Biodun Stephen, the movie is definitely worth watching.

The cast delivered a great performance, especially Lateef Adedimeji, who embodied the role seamlessly. Bimbo Ademoye, Toyin Abraham, Bimpe Oyebade, and Biodun Stephen were all exceptional.

I love the attention to details—the props, the setting, everything aligned. Although some scenes could have been shorter, I still rate it a good movie.

And please, can we continue with this kind of storyline and movies that are family-friendly? Ones where I can take my 5-year-old niece to watch without bothering about when I will use my hand to cover her face.
