Burna Boy got served, and Davido is born-again – Part 1

Friday the 13th; May, the musical purge of 2022. Nigerians were blessed simultaneously by a few of their favorite artists and a few questionable ones — read whitemoney–  but we are not pointing any fingers.

We all have our opinions on the different jams released on that day, unpopular or not, we have them so here are ours;

Stand strong, Davido: SHEPE, or not. Unlike most of OBO’s songs with the upbeat tracks and Davido screaming at the top of his voice trying to convince us that he loves Florence with all of his heart or the volume of his wealth. Stand strong shows us a different side of him, combined with the workouts he has been doing since the beginning of the year, It must be hot boy summer for Mr. Adeleke. Words of an avid Davido lover.

Palazzo, Asake and SPINALL: from Sungba to Ololade to palazzo, Asake makes me imagine dancesteps that I cannot enact in real time. A few netizens have said he feels like olamide before he started touching money. Anyway, we look forward to seeing more of Asake.

Last Last, Burnaboy: I am a burnaboy stan. So I don’t have much to say here. Been following him for a very long while so saying I am proud of how far he has come is a falling short of words. Stream last last today, feed Burna’s ego.

Excitingly, there is still a long list of songs that were released on that same day. Join us next time as we give our unsolicited opinions.
