First of all, why do you still have sexual materials of someone you used to have sexual relations with on your phone? What exactly is your reasoning behind keeping these items, what do you intend to use it for?

Ask yourself these questions, no don’t even ask yourself, just delete them. Now, For those that do not know;

Revenge porn is the distribution of sexually explicit images or videos of individuals without their consent. It may sometimes be regarded as an abuse, depending on the country/state you’re in.

The world is quickly becoming a global village and while we are grasping at the usefulness and essentiality of the internet, people who exist purely to exploit it will forever exist.

And, no, We can’t just say don’t take explicit images of yourself, that’s dull and ineffective because a bad person is a bad person regardless of if you do you or you don’t.

By the above logic (victim blaming) You have absolved the perpetrator of any wrong doings. Implying the situation could have been avoided if you had just not placed yourself there, which is untrue because of sometimes revenge porn is also shared rape tapes.

What to do when you are a target of revenge porn.

1.Find out if there is a law about revenge porn in your area

2.Talk to an attorney, find organizations near you that are willing to help.

3.Own it. It has happened It has happened, accept it and move on.

4.It is not the end of the world; take time to yourself and do things that make you happy, don’t spiral for someone else’s foolish doings.

5.Remember it doesn’t make you less of who you are.
