Tottenham Defeats Struggling Manchester United For a Third Time this Season

James Maddison made a strong return from injury as Tottenham secured a 1-0 win against Manchester United in the Premier league.

Maddison, who had been out for nearly four weeks with a calf injury, scored the only goal of the match in the 13th minute. He reacted quickly after United goalkeeper Andre Onana saved a shot from Lucas Bergvall, tapping the ball into the net.

Manchester United had chances to equalize, with Alejandro Garnacho missing a good opportunity in the first half. However, United struggled to create clear chances in another disappointing performance.

This victory was important for Tottenham, as they had lost their last two games in cup competitions against Liverpool and Aston Villa. The win helps ease pressure on their manager, Ange Postecoglou, and moves them up to 12th place in the league, ahead of United.

For Manchester United, it was another frustrating game. Their manager, Ruben Amorim, is dealing with several injuries in the squad. United have now lost three of their last four league games and have dropped to 15th place. However, they are still 12 points above the relegation zone.
