RB Leipzig Ends Bayer Leverkusen’s 35-match Unbeaten Run

Bayer Leverkusen’s 35-match unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga came to an end on Saturday as they suffered a 3-2 home defeat to RB Leipzig. This was their first loss in the German league since May 2023.

Leverkusen started strong, quickly taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Jeremie Frimpong and Alex Grimaldo, but Leipzig scored just before half-time.

Early in the second half, Lois Openda scored to bring Leipzig level. Openda then struck again with 10 minutes left on the clock, sealing the win for Leipzig.
