Former US President Donald Trump Shot But Escapes Assassination Attempt
Russia has warned the United States that allowing Ukraine to use Western missiles to strike deep into Russian territory could make the conflict much worse. Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia would respond strongly to such an attack.
Ukraine is asking Western countries to allow them to use long-range weapons to hit targets inside Russia, but Russia has cautioned the U.S. and other nations that this could lead to serious consequences, potentially expanding the conflict beyond Europe.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the West was trying to escalate the war and was “asking for trouble” by considering Ukraine’s requests. He criticized the U.S., saying they were acting like they are safe and making others do the fighting for them, including Ukrainians and Europeans.
Lavrov also warned that playing with such dangerous actions, especially when nuclear weapons are involved, is risky. Russia is calling for calm and is urging all sides to work towards a peaceful solution to the conflict.
