Former US President Donald Trump Shot But Escapes Assassination Attempt
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has instructed the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) to sell crude oil in Naira to the Dangote Refinery and other upcoming refineries.
Bayo Onanuga, who is the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, made the announcement on his official X account on Monday.
The decision is aimed to help stabilize the prices of fuel and the exchange rate between the dollar and Naira.
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved this during its meeting. They agreed that the 450,000 barrels of oil intended for domestic use should be sold in Naira to Nigerian refineries, with the Dangote refinery being the first to implement this policy.
