MOVIE REVIEW: The Way We Were

It’s been a while since I watched a movie as satisfying as “The Way We Were.” This film portrays how tough decisions can impact a relationship, no matter how deeply in love the couple may be.

The story revolves around a couple who reconnect years after breaking up due to a difficult decision to abort a baby the man felt they weren’t financially ready for. This decision devastated the woman, leading her to end the relationship as the man grew emotionally distant.

The characters are brought to life by one of my favorite actors, Efa Iwara, and his co-star, Adaora Udeh, whose performances are compelling and heartfelt. The storyline is well-written, and the picture quality is excellent. I particularly enjoyed the technique of using flashbacks to explain the present, adding depth and context to the narrative.

While the movie starts off slowly, it more than makes up for it as the story progresses. Overall, I would rate this movie a solid 8/10.
