The weekend is upon us again and it’s time to bring out our popcorns as we relax with some newly released Nollywood movies.
1. A Weekend to Forget (2023)
A Weekend to Forget is a Nigerian film directed by Damola Ademola. It stars Erica Nlewedim, Uche Montana, Daniel Etim Effiong, Elozonam Ogbolu, Ini Dima Okojie, Stan Nze, Neo Akpofure, and Akin Lewis. The movie tells the story a group of seven friends who have been apart for years decide to reunite for a weekend getaway. However, things don’t go as planned when old tensions and unresolved issues come to the surface. This movie is currently showing in the cinemas.
2. Something Like Gold (2023)
Something Like Gold is a Nigerian romantic comedy film directed by Kayode Kasum. It stars Patrick Doyle
Sandra Okunzuwa, Teniola Aladese , Timini Egbuson, Mercy Johnson Okojie, Tope Olowoniyan, and Kunle Remi. This movie tells the love story of a lady who finds love again after being stood up during her wedding. This movie is also showing in the cinemas.
3. The Scar (2023)
The Scar is a Nigerian movie starring Collins Emefiele, Joseph Benjamin, Mercy Macjoe, Nicole Benson, Stella Damascus. In this movie you’ll see how a traumatic cut from the past threatens to destroy a marriage. The couple must find a way to heal the wound that has scarred their relationship.
4. Ijogbon (2023)
Ijogbon tells the journey of four teenagers in Oyo Oke who stumble upon a hidden pouch of diamonds. Their discovery sets them on a path filled with twists and turns, as they face the consequences of their find. Download and enjoy this movie on Netflix.

5. Charlie and the Boys (2023)
Charlie and the Boys is directed by Sele Got. It follows the story of Charles Omokwe who is released from jail after serving 13 months of a 7-year prison sentence for a failed heist. He is determined to get revenge on his employer who betrayed him and plots to steal an artifact while staying one step ahead of the law.
