In Focus: Everything football this week

Midweek football returned in the EPL and it was one to savour, especially for the neutrals, maybe not so much for those with strong concerns as Leicester and the Saints keep finding themselves in all sorts of troubles while the duo of Everton and Nottingham Forest boosted their chances of remaining in the top flight with wins over Brighton and Southampton respectively.

 

The three fixtures played on Monday recorded a barrage of goals as the 21 goals scored set a new Premier League record for a three-game matchday.

Elsewhere, attention shifts to the big boys as Real Madrid host Manchester City at the Bernabeu later today with the Champions League entering it’s business end. Tomorrow however sees the second fixture of the semis take place with Italian sides Ac Milan hosting Inter Milan in the Milan derby, and we just can’t wait to see what these two fixtures serves us and who goes on to the final of this year’s UCL.
