“Modelling is Life”- Queen Carphy

Gleetz Magazine recently had a chat with Abubakre Adetutu Kafayah “Queen Carphy”. The 24 year old Miss Independent World 2018 dwelled on her career, hopes for the future and what how she intends to use her position to influence other females positively. Excerpts of the interview below.

Kindly give us an insight about your growing up?
Am a Muslim by faith and had my early childhood in Ibadan. My parents are quite wonderful and instilled in me the importance of being steadfast and putting in my best in whatever I do. Growing up was awesome being the last child in a family of six.

What was your reaction when you won Miss Independent World and how do you intend to use the crown fruitfully?
I felt so excited and happy to become Miss Independent World. It was a huge relief for me beating other vibrant women to the crown, I put in so much efforts and was happy to be crowned the winner. I intend to do Environmental advocacy as am passionate about the environment in the wake of several environmental degradations and global warming. Also I have charity projects in line for some orphanages and contributing my quota the little way I can.

Why do you venture into modelling?
I have always had passion for it. For me modelling is life I enjoy posing for the camera and using my expression to pass a vital message. So it was an easy choice deciding to venture into modelling as a viable tool to show my beauty and inner strength to the real world.
