Nigeria Ends Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with Seven Medals

Nigeria has finished its participation in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, winning a total of seven medals and placing 40th on the overall medal table. The team earned two gold, three silver, and two bronze medals.

Nigeria’s Onyinyechi Mark broke a Paralympic record in the women’s 61kg powerlifting event by lifting 145kg. This amazing feat earned her a gold medal.

Folashade Oluwafemiayo also brought home a gold medal, winning in the women’s over 86kg powerlifting event.

Bose Omolayo won a silver medal in the women’s up to 79kg powerlifting event, lifting 145kg. Flora Ugwunwa earned a silver medal in the women’s Javelin F54 event with a throw of 19.26 meters.

Esther Nworgu added another silver medal in the women’s up to 41kg powerlifting event.

Nigeria’s athletes performed exceptionally well, making their country proud at the Games.
