Popular Nigerian businessman and nightlife mogul, Obinna Iyiegbu—better known as Obi Cubana—has spoken up about who his real next-of-kin is after a recent viral moment on social media caused a stir.
The drama started when Chidi, who is widely known as Cubana’s adopted son, posted a TikTok video joining a trending challenge. In the clip, Chidi walked confidently with a cheeky caption that read: “Nothing do my shoulder, I just realise sey I be next of kin.”
The video quickly caught attention online, sparking reactions and speculation about the billionaire’s family affairs.
In what seemed like a playful but clear response, Obi Cubana later posted a photo of himself and his biological son, Alex, on Instagram. Along with the photo, he wrote:
“Ancient and Modern, eyes 👀 on the ball! @dtwalx aka Next-of-kin!🤣🥰”
With that, the billionaire businessman subtly but firmly shut down the assumptions, making it known that his real next-of-kin is his son, Alex.
