It has been announced that the religious head of the roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis has passed away. The announcement was made at 9:45 AM from the Casa Santa Marta, where the Pope lived.
Later that evening, at 8:00 PM, a special ceremony was held in the chapel on the ground floor of the Pope’s residence. During this ceremony, Pope Francis’s death was officially confirmed. The ceremony lasted for just under an hour, and Cardinal Farrell read out the declaration of death.
Pope Francis’s passing marks a sad moment for the Catholic Church and people around the world.
