FIFA will pay a total of $1 billion in prize money to teams participating in the 2025 Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States. A source close to the negotiations confirmed this on Wednesday.
This amount is much higher than the prize money given in previous men’s and women’s World Cups.
The 2025 Club World Cup will feature 32 teams and will take place every four years. However, FIFA has not shared many details about how the tournament will be funded.
The tournament will run from June 14 to July 13, 2025.
