Liverpool moved closer to winning the Premier League after a big 2-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday. The win puts them 11 points clear at the top of the table, although they have played one more game than their rivals.
Mohamed Salah was the star of the match, scoring one goal and assisting another. The Egyptian forward opened the scoring with his 30th goal of the season. Before half-time, he set up Dominik Szoboszlai to double Liverpool’s lead.
For Manchester City, it was another disappointing result, coming just days after they were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid. The defeat leaves them 20 points behind Liverpool, making their chances of retaining the title almost impossible.
Arsenal’s surprise 1-0 loss to West Ham on Saturday made things easier for Liverpool. Before this game, they had dropped points against Everton and Aston Villa, but they bounced back in style.
With just a few games left, Liverpool are in a strong position to win the league title.
